English Language Programs for Professionals
In response to increasing demand for quality English language instruction, AMIDEAST has established English language programs designed to meet the needs of governmental, nongovernmental, and private sector clients, as well as the general public. AMIDEAST programs include courses in English for international communication, English for Specific Purposes (ESP), and contractual programs for corporate and institutional sponsors.
English for Special Purposes
AMIDEAST's English for Special Purposes (ESP) programs have grown in response to demand for topic-related courses. ESP courses aim to meet the needs of professionals who need to learn English for use in their specific fields, such as science, technology, medicine, leisure, and academic learning.
- AMIDEAST/Egypt trained professionals working in the legal and judicial spheres across the country, and in Alexandria designed special courses in business English for employees of the Bank of Alexandria, the Alexandria General Organization for Sanitary Drainage, and various cotton production companies.
- AMIDEAST/Jordan delivers courses in English for customer care to cabin crew and staff at Royal Jordanian Airlines.
- AMIDEAST/Lebanon provided legal English training to judges, judges-in-training, law professors, lawyers, and nongovernmental organizations.
- AMIDEAST/Tunisia developed ESP courses for a number of government agencies and private firms, including the Tunisian Airport Authority.
Contractual Programs
AMIDEAST offers specialized English training for professionals in such fields as business, law, legal rights, and teacher training. These programs are offered at AMIDEAST's training centers or at the client's premises. All client-sponsored programs are designed to meet the specific needs of the employer.
