Advising Services in West Bank

AMIDEAST strives to provide accurate, comprehensive, current, and unbiased information on educational opportunities in the United States. Our office is part of the EducationUSA network of approximately 450 advising centers worldwide affiliated with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

For current news and events relating to EducationUSA advising at AMIDEAST/Ramallah, please visit our announcements page.

The Educational Information Centers (EIC) in Ramallah maintains an extensive collection of materials on U.S. and regional educational opportunities available for public use. Additionally, the EIC provides numerous educational and career information services, including free introductory public information sessions on various aspects of U.S. education, individual consultations on U.S. study, a Self-Directed Search service to help in choosing majors and careers, and application support services. A membership option provides a discounted services package for visitors pursuing U.S. study. Career support is available to U.S. graduates returning home. Support for institutions is offered in such areas as testing, training, recruitment of students or employees, and development and accreditation of American-model educational programs.

The AMIDEAST/Ramallah educational adviser makes regular visits to Nablus and to Jerusalem in order to provide advising support to individuals in these areas. If you are in Nablus or Jerusalem and would like to meet with the adviser, please contact the Ramallah EducationUSA office for an appointment.

AMIDEAST serves as a representative of Educational Testing Services in West Bank/Gaza. Our testing division offers many computer-based tests and entrance exams that are required by U.S. schools.

AMIDEAST has operated in Palestine since 1957, helping thousands of Palestinians to pursue their higher education in the United States. As the only U.S. Department of State-affiliated educational information center in the West Bank, AMIDEAST provides unbiased, objective information and resources on U.S. higher education. AMIDEAST does not represent any U.S. college or university, instead, we represent Palestinian students in helping them make the decisions that best meet their individual needs.

You can also take part in our online chats (see schedule) or browse and post messages in our U.S. Study Discussion Area.

Please contact us or explore our web site for more details on programs of interest to you. We look forward to your future visits to AMIDEAST/Ramallah.

To learn more about studying in the United States, explore the new U.S. Study Advantage section of this site. Then contact our office to get the most current information and to schedule a consultation for individual help.
