AMIDEAST
strives to provide accurate, comprehensive,
current, and unbiased information on educational
opportunities in the United States. Our
office
is part of the EducationUSA
network of approximately 450 advising
centers worldwide affiliated with the U.S.
Department of State's Bureau of Educational
and Cultural Affairs.
The Educational Information Center (EIC)
at AMIDEAST/ Lebanon maintains an extensive
collection
of materials on U.S. and regional educational
opportunities available for public use.
Additionally, the EIC provides numerous
educational and career information services
including free introductory public information
sessions on U.S. education, announcements
of special events, college
fairs, and many other advising services.
A career
support program is also available for
U.S. graduates returning to Lebanon. Support
for institutions is offered in such areas
as testing,
training,
and development and accreditation of American-model
educational programs.
AMIDEAST serves as a representative of
Educational Testing Services in Lebanon.
Ourtesting
division offers many entrance
exams that are required by U.S. schools.
