Advising Services in Gaza
AMIDEAST
strives to provide accurate, comprehensive,
current, and unbiased information on educational
opportunities in the United States. Our
office is part of the EducationUSA
network of approximately 450 advising
centers worldwide affiliated with the U.S.
Department of State's Bureau of Educational
and Cultural Affairs.
The Educational Information Center (EIC)
at AMIDEAST/Gaza maintains an extensive
collection
of materials on U.S. and regional educational
opportunities available for public use.
Additionally, the EIC provides numerous
educational and career information services,
including free introductory public information
sessions on various aspects of U.S.
education, individual
consultations on U.S. study, and application
support services.
Career support is also available for
U.S. graduates returning to Gaza.
Support for institutions is offered in
such areas as testing,
training, recruitment of students or employees,
and development of American-model educational
programs. Advising staff can also provide
presentations at your institution related
to U.S. study.
AMIDEAST serves as a representative of
the
Educational Testing Service in Gaza.
Our testing
services can help with information and
registration for many standardized examinations
required by U.S. schools as well as with
many professional certification and other
exams.
AMIDEAST has operated in Palestine since
1957, helping thousands of Palestinians
to pursue their higher education in the
United States. As the only U.S. Department
of State-affiliated educational information
center in the West Bank, AMIDEAST provides
unbiased, objective information and resources
on U.S. higher education. AMIDEAST does
not represent any U.S. college or university,
instead, we represent Palestinian students
in helping them make the decisions that
best meet their individual needs.
