About U.S. Study

education USA

AMIDEAST strives to provide accurate, comprehensive, current, and unbiased information on educational opportunities in the United States. Our office is part of the EducationUSA network of approximately 450 advising centers worldwide affiliated with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

AMIDEAST's advising and educational information centers throughout the Middle East and North Africa provide access to resources on U.S. study, information on the U.S. college and university application process, and support services for all those considering U.S. educational opportunities.

Every year, AMIDEAST supplies information and materials on U.S. higher education and testing to hundreds of thousands of individuals, ministries, universities, corporations, private organizations, international aid donors, and embassies.

Free introductory sessions on U.S. education and the application process are offered in all educational information centers at least once each week. AMIDEAST advisers also visit schools, universities, and organizations to speak about U.S. education and training opportunities.

AMIDEAST centers also generally offer additional educational and career services such as-

  • Special topic presentations on subjects from graduate medical education to student visa requirements
  • Private consultations for advice on U.S. study requirements and to meet individual needs
  • Application support services to assist in filling out forms, communicating with universities, assessing degree validity, and more
  • Complete admission service providing individual guidance through the full application process
  • College fairs and support for U.S. educational institutions visiting the region
  • Professional development assistance for graduates returning home from the United States

This network of educational advising centers is supported by the Advising and Testing Services Division at AMIDEAST in Washington, DC, which also provides a research service and professional periodical for U.S. Department of State-supported advising centers worldwide.

From the table on top, please choose a country or region to learn what advising and educational information services AMIDEAST can currently provide in that location.
