The Educational Information
Center (EIC) at AMIDEAST/Cairo maintains an extensive
collection of materials on U.S. and regional educational
opportunities including books, software, college and
university catalogs, brochures on professional training
opportunities, audiovisual materials, and more.
A few highlights of the EIC collection—
- Over 900 reference books on U.S. education,
testing, financial aid, fields of study,
and other subjects
- Current files on over 200 areas of study/careers
- U.S. travel information
- Information on short-term training in
the United States and throughout the Middle
East/North Africa region
- Special collection on U.S. Historically
Black Colleges and Universities
- Over 1,400 print U.S. college and university
catalogs (in addition to a comprehensive
online collection)
- Nearly 600 files on U.S. colleges and
universities
- Computers with college selection software
Library Hours
- Sunday –Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to
3:00 p.m.
- Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
