What is the GMAT?

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is used by many graduate-level business and management-related programs in the United States and at international universities as part of their admissions process. The GMAT measures verbal, analytical, and quantitative skills. It includes multiple-choice questions as well as two analytical writing questions. The GMAT bulletin has additional information.

 

 

Where do I get a GMAT bulletin?

GMAT bulletins can be requested from Pearson VUE. Copies can also be downloaded from the GMAT Web site, which contains the most up-to-date information on the test.

 

Where can I take the GMAT?

The GMAT exam is administered on computer in Pearson VUE Test Centers at locations around the world.

What do I do on the day of the test?

 

  • Arrive at the assigned test center 30 minutes before the assigned test time. Check-in procedures take time. If you arrive late, you may not be admitted to the test, and you will forfeit your test fees.
  • Bring photobearing identification, as described the GMAT Web site.

What about my scores?

Unofficial scores will appear on the computer screen following the test and will be printed out for you by the test center administrator along with an authentication code that you will need to access your official scores. These official scores should be available within twenty days, and you and the institutions that you have designated to receive scores should receive notification by e-mail when they are available. You can also request that scores be mailed to you if you have difficulties accessing the Internet.
