The Fulbright Foreign Student Program selects participants based on their leadership potential. Through their programs of study and research at U.S. institutions of higher learning, Fulbright Scholars gain knowledge and skills, global expertise, and the confidence they will require to solve problems, guide their communities, and take leadership positions in cross-cultural settings. The Ford Foundation’s International Fellowship Program (IFP) contributed to the development of a new brand of young leaders worldwide, including Egypt and Palestine, by empowering exceptional individuals to take a greater stake in their futures and engage actively in their communities.

Launched in 2000, the Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program has made it possible for over 70 extraordinary Egyptian men and women to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees at prestigious colleges and universities in the United States in fields that will enhance the economic prosperity of Egypt. [ + ]
The Tomorrow’s Leaders Scholarship Program provides four-year university scholarships and internship opportunities at select institutions of higher learning in the Middle East for more than 165 youth who have the potential to become leaders. [ + ]
