Muscat, January 14th, 2013 – The day after moving to its new location in Airport Heights, AMIDEAST welcomed students in an English language course contracted by the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, and prepared for new English language classes for the public to begin on January 19th. Test preparation courses – enabling students to prepare for the GRE, SAT and GMAT – are also underway or starting soon, with entrepreneurship training and leadership courses scheduled to begin in February.

“This new location is excellent, even though I live in Madinat Qaboos. This area can be taken as the heart of Muscat, making it easier for anyone to come here!” exclaimed Amna Haji, one of the students from the Ministry of Heritage and Culture.

Salim Mohammed Al Hassni, another student, is pleased with the new location, stating that “The fact that the institute is not in a crowded city area, there are no more noisy distractions such as unnecessary car horns!” With numerous landmarks around the new building, most visitors have found the location easily and have been delighted to see how accessible it is to highways and most areas of greater Muscat.

Asked about their thoughts on AMIDEAST’s move, students agreed that the new location makes their lives easier and highlighted the convenience of the dedicated parking lot with over 50 spaces, as well as the professional feel of the classrooms. Aside from the new facilities, the students praised AMIDEAST’s teaching staff, complimenting them for “constantly creating a great studying experience” and describing their classes as “informative” and “fun.”

The new office is located in Airport Heights on Al Jama’a Al Akhbar Street connecting BankMuscat’s headquarters and the Grand Mosque. The office is next to the Qalhat LNG building.

AMIDEAST is currently planning a variety of activities to showcase the new facilities, including an open house in February that will feature sample English language and entrepreneurship classes, a full day of educational advising workshops and special discounts and prizes.
