AMIDEAST American Summer Camp 2010

For the second year in a row, AMIDEAST offered its “American Summer Camp,” a unique opportunity for local 7-15 year olds to enjoy the summertime while interacting in a total immersion English environment. Campers enjoyed a fun-filled, English-learning experience with bi-weekly field trips to local attractions, daily arts and crafts activities, and visits to AMIDEAST’s fully-functional computer lab—all while learning about world cultures through the 2010 Camp’s theme, “World Cup 2010.”

“The camp offers a different approach,” said Isaac Reynolds, AMIDEAST English Language Instructor and Summer Camp Manager. “In schools, children sometimes get bored by the formal way of learning. Here we are focusing on ways to make children internalize the language. They discover that it can be fun to learn English, and we guarantee that they campers will learn new things every single day at the camp.”
