On January 27, 2011, the Access students with interest in helping orphans and the elderly visited the Qatar Orphanage in Aden.  The students were welcomed by the director of the orphanage, Dr. Elfat, who introduced the history and role of the center. At this time, twenty four girls and one boy of varying ages, reside at the Qatar center.
