New Country Director for Saudi Arabia

AMIDEAST is pleased to welcome Charles “Chuck” Griffin as its new Country Director for Saudi Arabia. He joined AMIDEAST in early July and will oversee the start-up of AMIDEAST’s operations in the kingdom, which will entail establishing a full-service office in Riyadh that offers English language, test preparation, standardized testing, management training, and scholarship management programs and services. 

Charles “Chuck” Griffin

Mr. Griffin brings to AMIDEAST a wealth of management experience in the U.S. and international business environments. Most recently, he was the chief executive officer of the Distinction Group Qatar, a new firm that provides facilitative assistance to organizations and companies that want to establish a presence in Qatar and other Middle East markets.  Before that, from 2001 to 2003, he served as Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of the Alghanim Group of Companies in Kuwait, with broad operational responsibilities.  In addition, he held a number of executive-level positions with the Eastman Kodak Company over a 17-year period, including assignments as General Manager of Kodak Nordic Region; President and General Manager of Kodak Mexico; and General Manager of Kodak Puerto Rico, Kodak Panama, and Kodak Peru. 

Mr. Griffin earned an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from Washington & Lee University.
