WRITING

Writing 1: From Sentence to Paragraph
(for Pre-intermediate students)
This course will take you from sentence formation to paragraph writing through a process approach. This will not only develop your writing skills, but also encourage you to become an independent and creative writer. You will be able to find ideas and put them into sentences, logically order the sentences into paragraphs, and review and revise these paragraphs to make them even stronger.

Writing 2: From Paragraph to Essay
(for Intermediate and Upper-intermediate students)
This course will take you from paragraph structuring to essay writing through a process approach. The areas covered include generating ideas, organizing, drafting, reviewing and revising. You will be able to generate ideas and organize them on paper, create various paragraph types for your writing, and order and link paragraphs into cohesive and coherent pieces of writing.

Email English
(for Intermediate and Upper-intermediate students)
Based on hundreds of real emails, Email English deals systematically with key language for constructing effective and convincing emails in English. Basics include opening and closing emails, giving information and making requests, arranging meetings and checking understanding. You will also deal with emails that address negotiating, asking for payment, and dealing with suppliers and customers. You will be able to describe business trends, relating cause and effect and report. We look at different communication styles: formal and informal, direct and indirect, and ways of seeming more friendly.


SPEAKING

Networking in English
(for Pre-intermediate and Intermediate students)
This course is for anyone who finds it hard to ‘find the right words’ when communicating in the workplace. Networking in English not only deals with survival English for travel or small talk, but also the interpersonal strategies used by good native speaker communicators. You will be able to use reasonably accurate grammar and appropriate functional expressions to get your message across, allowing you to carry out effective conversations which build rapport and mutual understanding.

Presenting in English
(for Intermediate and Upper-intermediate students)
This course is what you need if you want to aim to be a perfect orator and presenter. It is based on the seven steps approach to help you ‘find your voice’ and develop your own authentic presentation style. This course gives you advice and introduces you to the skills and language needed for leading effective presentations. Presenting in English will give you presentation language, advice, delivery tips, and powerful presentation techniques.
