AMIDEAST/Lebanon is launching a new Professional Certificate in English Language Teaching (PCELT). AMIDEAST and the World Learning/SIT Graduate Institute in the U.S.A. have partnered to offer a truly unique TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate program. Blending international best practices with the real needs of teachers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), PCELT features a flexible design and adaptable content to give Lebanese English language teachers much more within one course. Getting your teachers certified will help you to best position your school and gain an advantage in the education field.
Aspiring/current teachers of English (novice or experienced)

The first PCELT training workshop was delivered intensively from August 16-September 13, 2013, and twenty teachers completed this program and graduated with US-accredited TESOL certification.
Trainees are required to attend all of the sessions which is held 5 days a week. As mentioned in the application, participants should have a strong B1 (CEFR) English language proficiency and a strong interest in improving their skills to teach the English language.
The workshops will be offered on different schedules; one a week during the academic year, and intensively during school holidays and summer. In addition, special schedules can be arranged for schools which want to sponsor their own group of 10-12 teachers.
