
EducationUSA Advising Services Include:
- Free-of-charge general advising sessions that provide an overview of postsecondary education in the U.S., provide guidance on the application process and covers other topics like admission requirements, accreditation, testing, and the costs and fees required.
- Free-of-charge special topic sessions about different fields of study, such as Engineering, Business Administration, Medicine, etc. in the USA as well as the general admission requirements for each field.
- Monthly Visa sessions conducted at our office by one of our colleagues from the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy
- Free-of-charge Pre-Departure Orientations (PDO) that cover various topics including: visa procedures, travel tips, homesickness and culture shock, adjustment strategies, etc.
- Free-of-charge Re-Entry Orientations (REO)
- Free-of-charge workshops and seminars on writing the statement of purpose
- Free-of-charge orientations on Career Advising
- Free-of-charge Direct Video Conferencing Events with U.S. university representatives
- Outreach sessions at private and public schools to inform students in 10th – 12th Grades of the steps they need to take to prepare for their college life
- Periodic U.S. Alumni reunions to help Kuwaiti students who graduated from the United States to network with other professionals in the Kuwaiti community
- Coordinating for U.S. University representative visits to Kuwait to meet with prospective students and to visit local schools
- Helping arrange for U.S. University fairs throughout the year
- Our office offers a complete reference collection on U.S. higher education that is available to our visiting guests at the EducationUSA Library. These references include collections of university catalogues, references on short-term training programs, DVDs on U.S. higher education, application forms for universities and English language institutes, and general resources that describe accredited undergraduate and graduate institutions and programs, admissions requirements, specialized fields of study, and various aspects of life in the United States.
