Abu Dhabi, December 13, 2010 — In order to better serve a diverse mix of individuals and institutions in the UAE, AMIDEAST has expanded its offices in Abu Dhabi. An official opening ceremony and ribbon-cutting, held today on the new premises, was attended by Dr. Tayeb Kamali, Vice Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology and Chairman of CERT, and Dr. William A. Rugh, former U.S. ambassador to the UAE and former president and CEO of AMIDEAST, as well as top officials from a wide variety of industries including government, higher education, communication, banking, oil and gas, and human resources.
The AMIDEAST offices are located in CERT Technology Park, Block P, Muroor Road, Abu Dhabi.
AMIDEAST opened its UAE office in 1996. In the 14 years since, it has expanded from offering mainly student advising and scholarship services to providing a wide range of programs for both students and professionals. Mary Corrado, AMIDEAST Country Director for the UAE, said at the ceremony: “Our new office facilities will enable us to further expand our offerings to include English and Arabic language training as well as to ensure secure and adequate testing and training facilities.”
