The trainer is an Assistant Professor at the Olayan School of Business at AUB. His
research interests are in organizational concepts and models from a cross-cultural
perspective, focusing on the impact of culture on the workplace and the workforce, as
well as in the development and measurement of culture and cultural values, and the
impact of culture on the relationship between traditional work outcomes like stress, job
satisfaction, and organizational commitment, justice, and leadership. Other research
interests also include the applicability of Western-developed tools in non-Western arenas,
including core organizational processes such as selection systems and instruments, and
performance management processes.
The trainer was awarded the prestigious Fulbright scholarship in 2001, enrolling in the
PhD program in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Prior to his current position,
he was a consultant with The Home Depot’s Organizational Effectiveness team
developing selection tools for positions across the company, employee opinion surveys,
360 performance evaluations, employee selection, and executive assessments.
