The StudyUSA Fair is an annual event that was first launched in 1999, sponsored by AMIDEAST. Each year we receive a large number of representatives from various American universities based in the U.S. and abroad. The Fair, which lasts throughout the day, includes EducationUSA advising sessions, networking opportunities, visa sessions, and much more.
The 2012 StudyUSA Fair in Cairo hosted the largest number of universities and colleges in years, with 40 U.S. accredited institutions. The fair was held at the Smart Village Conference Center, and received more than 1200 attendees of all ages and interests. The StudyUSA Fair in Alexandria was held at the Schutz American School and hosted 18 U.S. accredited institutions, with more than 800 attendees. Both fairs also showcased the US Embassy’s Cultural Exchange Programs, Information Resource Center, and Visa Consular section to share with Egyptian students the short-term opportunities available to them as well as information about the student visa process.
