English Language Course Schedule
AMIDEAST Iraq’s English classes are designed to teach students the skills they will need in order to learn English. Our native speaking experienced English teachers use a wide variety of resources and skills and focus on a student centered, communicative approach to language learning.
English Access Microscholarship Program
Since 2004, AMIDEAST/Kuwait has been managing the English Access Microscholarship Program in Kuwait -- a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State to benefit Kuwaiti youth at public secondary schools from all governorates. To date, approximately 1000 students aged 13-15 have benefited from this two-year scholarship.
Students participate in 360 hours of English language instruction and additional workshops that introduce the youth to American culture, community service, policy issues, and career enhancement resources.
The English language curriculum strengthens English speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills with additional extracurricular activities. Activities may include guest speakers in the class, field trips in Kuwait for cultural activities (such as films, exhibitions and concerts), as well as visits to different Kuwaiti and American organizations.
AMIDEAST is pleased to announce the start of the recruitment process for this year's English Access Microscholarship Program. Please note that the application deadline date is December 31, 2012.
Learn English
AMIDEAST offers innovative and results-oriented English language courses that will provide learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively communicate in the workplace – using English. AMIDEAST’s English Language program is tailored to address learners at all levels of proficiency by building reading, writing, and listening skills with the ultimate aim of developing conversational abilities and overall fluency of course participants. All AMIDEAST teachers are native English speakers who use the most advanced techniques and curriculum in teaching English as a foreign language.
ADULT ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAMS
AMIDEAST has made it a priority to provide quality English Language training to students and professionals. Unlike other English programs in Kuwait, we follow a rigorous hiring process and select teachers that have proven instruction capabilities with strong results. We follow a target-language immersion methodology that has proven to be very successful in providing students with the resources to improve their English language skills quickly and effectively.

AMIDEAST/ Kuwait has made it a priority to provide quality English language training to students and professionals and has established a range of training programs suitable for people of all ages and all backgrounds. These include English Language for Adults, English for Young Learners, Test Preparation and Professional Training programs.
English Access Microscholarship Program
AMIDEAST/Oman is proud to work with the U.S. Embassy in Muscat and the Oman Ministry of Education to administer the English “Access” Microscholarship Program in Oman. Since 2010, 320 9th and 10th grade Omani students from government schools in Muscat, Sohar, Nizwa, and Salalah have participated and benefitted from after-school English courses and extracurricular activities focused on developing students’ communicative and intercultural skills and enhancing educational and employment opportunities.
The English Access Microscholarship Program is a successful, worldwide program that has reached 55,000 teenage students in 70 countries since the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational Cultural Affairs introduced Access in 2004.

Unlike other English language programs in Kuwait, courses at AMIDEAST emphasize American English and are taught by native speakers of American English. AMIDEAST/Kuwait is committed to assisting students reach communicative competence in English. Our English Language Training program is characterized by the use of modern teaching methods focusing on real-life communication integrated into listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
AMIDEAST offers courses from beginners to advanced levels in an English as a Second Language program. In addition, the program offers test preparation courses for TOEFL®, GMAT®, GRE®, and SAT® I as well as Professional Development training.
