Our curriculum and experienced trainers can help individuals work on their Business English, whether at work, in class or on the move.
We offer two levels: Intermediate and Upper-intermediate which takes learners through 20 progressively more challenging units ranging from basic networking, information-sharing and small talk to higher order skills such as problem-solving, presenting and negotiating

The course reflects the need for learners at this level to consolidate their grammatical awareness, increase their lexical range and, above all, boost their communicative power in both professional and social situations.

Introduction
The Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) Alumni Network aims to create a sustainable network of civil society activists, business professionals, and entrepreneurs that benefited from MEPI projects across the MENA region. Through this network, MEPI Alumni will have the opportunity to meet and connect so they can inspire each other and work together on advancing reform in the region through a variety of activities including trainings and workshops, panel discussions, and community projects.

AMIDEAST/Jordan, through a grant from MEPI, is managing the Egypt and Jordan branches of the MEPI Alumni Network. Both the Egypt and Jordan chapters organize workshops and trainings covering a variety of topical subjects including:

GRE Test Preparation

GRE®: General/Subject Tests for Graduate Study
 
The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) are required for applicants to many graduate-level programs in the United States and for some international universities.
 
The GRE is made up of the General Test, composed of analytic writing, verbal reasoning, and quantitative reasoning sections. GRE Subject Tests are also offered, testing knowledge in specific academic fields.
 
The GRE General Test is most commonly provided in a computer-based format. A paper-based GRE General Test is administered on limited dates in locations where computer testing is not dependable. GRE Subject Tests are administered in a paper-based format on limited dates.

AMIDEAST’s Professional Business Writing and Communication course gives you the skills you need to successfully write for any career or profession. This practical course is filled with hands-on exercises, group work, tests, and expert insight into writing; so that you can learn the tools and techniques you need to develop your professional business writing style.
 

 

Project Management

Project Management Professional (PMP)

This intensive and hands-on course gives you the skills to ensure your projects are completed on time and on budget while giving your client the product they expect. Participants will gain a strong working knowledge of project management through the use of exercises, templates, and industry-specific case studies provided throughout the class. The course covers the nine knowledge areas defined in the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Framework.

English Language Assessment

The English language placement test at AMIDEAST is used to assess the level of English a student currently possesses so they may be placed in an appropriate English course that will best fit their needs. The test is also used to help employers evaluate adequate English comprehension among their employees.
The placement test AMIDEAST administers is in accordance with the Common European Framework (CEF) of Reference for Languages: learning, teaching, assessment. It is designed to measure the participants' mastery of the English language. 
Before you can register for any of AMIDEAST’s courses, you first have to sit a placement test to determine your English Language aptitude score.
Cost is 10 JD.
The placement test occurs twice every week: 
 
  •  For English Language and Conversation Circle courses:
    Sundays at 3:45pm
    Tuesdays at 2:15pm

 

  • For TOEFL, GMAT, GRE and SAT preparation courses:
    Mondays at 3:45pm
    Wednesdays at 2:15pm

NOW OFFERING BEGINNERS CLASSES!
 
The main idea of the conversation course at AMIDEAST is to focus on the students' ability to express themselves in everyday situations. Therefore, participants work on pronunciation, vocabulary and idioms to further develop their conversational skills. They also receive individualized feedback on grammar and pronunciation errors. Class activities include: group discussions, role plays, pronunciation, and games.  
The training focuses on a variety of everyday essential topics to ultimately improve participant fluency, accuracy and ability to communicate. The conversation course gives participants the extra practice they need to become fluent in English Language.
