Staff Openings: Fulbright Program Intern

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program

Funded by the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright Foreign Student Program awards scholarships to students from the Middle East and North Africa for graduate study in the United States.  We are seeking an intern to assist with scholarship administration during the fall of 2008.

This internship may be of particular interest to students interested in international education.  This internship may also serve as a way to learn about graduate study and the process of obtaining admission to graduate school.  Also, for students interested in applying for Fulbright grants, this opportunity may provide insights into how to be competitive in the Fulbright application process.

Intership Responsibilities

Fulbright Foreign Student Program:

  • Assist with graduate school applications for new nominees
  • Assist with preparations for the Fulbright workshop
  • Prepare U.S. arrival information and orientation materials for new incoming students
  • Research and track program alumni and update alumni database
  • Assist with the general administration of Fulbright

Qualifications

  • Interest in international education
  • Multicultural communication skills
  • Organizational & research skills
  • Computer experience (MS Word and Excel preferred)
  • Familiarity with the World Wide Web

HOURS: The intern is expected to work 15-20 hours per week.
