

AMIDEAST is committed to building future leaders in the fields international education, training and development activities in the Middle East and North Africa. The AMIDEAST/Egypt internship program offers a variety of opportunities for students to gain insight into the operations of international NGOs, program administration, and local society in Egypt.
Internships can be arranged in the areas of Advising & Exchanges, Education, English Language, Training, Development Projects, Grants and Proposals, Study Abroad, and can extend to operational support of IT, Finance, Marketing, and HR.
The duration of internships is a minimum of six weeks up to a maximum of one year. AMIDEAST offers both paid and volunteer internship opportunities, depending on the specific placement, need, duration, and qualifications. All costs of travel, insurance, accommodation, and daily expenses are the responsibility of the intern. Occasionally, other benefits may apply and be communicated during the application process.
Currently enrolled in an accredited academic institution or recently graduated (within the past calendar year).
Demonstrated an interest and commitment to the AMIDEAST mission.
Possess general computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
A team player, flexible, good communication skills, outgoing, and able to multi-task.
Desired: past experience in one of AMIDEAST’s fields of operations, some exposure to Arabic and the Middle East & North Africa
Preference is given to former participants of AMIDEAST programs
