What is EducationUSA?

EducationUSA is a global network of advising centers supported by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. There are over 400 advising centers worldwide, including 27 in the Middle East. 

Our offices provide accurate and unbiased information to international students regarding undergraduate or graduate study options in the United States, including valuable details about scholarship and financial aid opportunities.

EducationUSA advisors conduct regular outreach and offer free advising sessions at local high schools, universities, bookstores, libraries, U.S. Embassy events, American Corners, and many other venues to share information about educational opportunities available in the United States.

U.S. universities and colleges regularly hold special sessions throughout the year at the EducationUSA center, either in-person or vertually. Check our website regularly for upcoming events.

EducationUSA at AMIDEAST provides the following services free of charge:

1. Regularly scheduled advising sessions on U.S. higher education and the admissions process

2. Individual advising consultations

3. Assistance choosing U.S. universities and preparing application forms

4. Access to computers and internet for researching U.S. colleges and universities

5. Library hours for the public (9am-5pm, Sunday-Thursday)

6. Test preparation, scholarship, and college handbook resources

7.  Pre-departure orientations for students traveling to the United States

8. Assistance with the student visa application process
