English Language Teacher Training and Certification Program

AMIDEAST is now accepting applications the English Language Teacher Training and Certificate Program, funded by the United States Consulate General in Jerusalem.  Highly qualified, experienced, internationally recognized English Language Specialists from the United States will provide English Language teacher training to 100 English teachers from the Ministry of Education, UNRWA, and private schools. The program will then select 12 top teachers to participate in an internationally recognized English teacher certificate program.


TOEFL iBT Preparation


The TOEFL iBT test measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. And it evaluates how well you combine your listening, reading, speaking and writing skills to perform academic tasks.

More than 27 million people from all over the world have taken the TOEFL test to demonstrate their English-language proficiency. The TOEFL iBT test is an online test.

If you want to go to business school in the U.S., you need to take the GMAT!

The exam lets you showcase the skills that matter most in the business school classroom and in your career.

GRE Preparation

If you want to study in the U.S., you need to take the GRE.

Prospective graduate and business school applicants from all around the world who are interested in pursuing a master's, MBA, specialized master's in business or doctoral degree take the GRE revised General Test. Applicants come from varying educational and cultural backgrounds and the GRE revised General Test provides schools with a common measure for comparing candidates' qualifications.




If you want to study in the United States,  you need to take the SAT.  The SAT is a globally recognized college admission test that lets you show colleges what you know and how well you can apply that knowledge. It tests your knowledge of reading, writing and math — subjects that are taught every day in high school classrooms. Most students take the SAT during their junior or senior year of high school, and almost all colleges and universities use the SAT to make admission decisions.

Eligible candidates are invited to apply for a two-way citizen exchange program is a capacity-building and professional development initiative conducted by Legacy International.  The program serves civil society development in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and the US and is designed for people with strong leadership skills who are early- to mid-career professionals and who are committed to making a lasting impact in the areas of public service, social development, government transparency, and citizen participation.

Key Facts of about the LFP MENA program:  24 Fellows will be selected from three countries (8 each from Libya, Tunisia, and Egypt) to participate in a month-long, fellowship experience in U.S. Congressional offices, federal agencies, advocacy groups, and grassroots organizations. 


Developing Rehabilitation Assistance to Schools and Teachers Improvement (D-RASATI) will improve educational outcomes in Lebanon by improving teacher and student performance, increasing community and parental involvement, and improving the school learning environment. D-RASATI is a project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) Alumni Network aims to create a sustainable network of civil society activists, business professionals, and entrepreneurs that benefited from MEPI projects across the MENA region. Through this network, MEPI Alumni will have the opportunity to meet and connect so they can inspire each other and work together on advancing reform in the region through a variety of activities including trainings and workshops, panel discussions, and community projects.
