AMIDEAST is engaged in several innovative programs that target economically disadvantaged youth across the Middle East and North Africa, challenging them to develop their communications skills, learn new skills and expand their outlook on life.
AMIDEAST believes that these programs are critical to advancing the broader goals of economic development and civil society in the region and is deeply committed to assisting these students to achieve greater personal, academic and professional success.
Entrepreneurship can play a critical role in creating economic opportunity and changing lives. AMIDEAST is committed to working with local, regional, and international partners to advance entrepreneurship in the Middle East and North Africa through programs and initiatives that raise awareness and provide training opportunities for men and women alike.
Under a new partnership with the nonprofit arm of Cisco Systems, AMIDEAST centers in five countries ― Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Tunisia, and the West Bank/Gaza ― offer the Cisco Entrepreneurship Institute’s cutting edge entrepreneurship training curriculum to students and aspiring entrepreneurs. Through English language training and professional skills development, AMIDEAST is helping to develop global communication and workforce skills necessary to support successful regional economies.
We work with men and women of all ages who are eager to expand their opportunities. We also partner with businesses and public agencies to train workers in specialized English and provide basic business skills to youth and others seeking to transition into the job market.
