AMIDEAST would like to invite applications for the 2016-2017 English Access Microscholarship Program. This two-year skills and activities program is funded by the United States Department of State. For the first time in Kuwait, this program is open to youths currently enrolled in grades eight or nine in all schools where the language of instruction is not in English.
The focus of the two-year program is English language skills development. In addition to English language, the program will focus on Leadership skills and Public Speaking. Students will be encouraged to develop their spoken language, build confidence when speaking in public, develop skills and techniques to strengthen their leadership qualities and team building will be promoted throughout the program. In addition, scholarship recipients will participate in a range of monthly activities. These will include field trips to museums, sports activities, access to guest-speakers, etc.
