Several camp counselor positions are available to assist native-speaking English instructors during AMIDEAST's Summer Camp. Camp counselors will provide assistance to the Instructors as well as providing enthusiasm and instruction to the students at AMIDEAST's location in Airport Heights.

The students are ages 8 - 15 and will be doing activities and crafts, English reading, grammar and pronunciation as well as a trip or workshop at the end of the week.

If you are interested in being a Camp Counselor, indicate which week or weeks you are interested in. Each week will provide you with a certificate of 20 completed hours of instruction assistance.

The classes are 9 am - 1 pm from Sunday to Thursday.

June 16 - 20
June 23 - 27
June 30 - July 4

Required qualifications and skills:

Current university of college student, majoring in a related field of study

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Previous applicable experiences in teaching or summer camp programs

Advanced level of maturity exhibited by sound judgment, emotional intelligence & stability, flexibility and willingness to accept responsibility

Must possess problem-solving skills, be a team player and a self-starter

Excellent interpersonal skills

Cross-cultural sensitivity
