The goal of Al-Saleh Institute for Human Development Support Project (AISPY) is to equip young people from the rural governorates of Marib, al-Jawf, and Shabwa, with the fundamental English language skills and experience needed to secure gainful employment. In developing this six-month, USAID-funded English Language Training (ELT) Program, AMIDEAST combines its thirty years of experience in Yemen with contemporary English language training methodology to prepare AISPY participants to advance into a competitive workforce. The AISPY ELT Program builds on AMIDEAST’s ELT outreach, ELT for vocational purposes, and employability skills training experiences while coordinating with AISPY and complementing USAID-funded livelihoods initiatives.
