AMIDEAST Appoints New Country Director in Tunisia

Washington, DC, October 31, 2011 — AMIDEAST is pleased to announce the appointment of Quincy Dermody as new country director for Tunisia. Ms. Dermody, who will be based in Tunis, brings over 10 years of experience in international education to this position. Nearly eight of those years were spent at AMIDEAST headquarters, managing several key scholarship, exchange, and internship programs that AMIDEAST implements on behalf of a wide range of sponsors.  During her tenure, she has also been actively involved in new business development and has taken on a number of short-term, field-based assignments in other areas.  

Advisory Board Pledges Support for Training and Scholarship Initiatives in Lebanon

AMIDEAST Expands in the UAE

New Agreement with ETS to Benefit UAE Individuals and Institutions

(AMIDEAST) has been named ETS Global’s Country Master Distributor (CMD) in the United Arab Emirates under a three-year agreement signed today in Abu Dhabi. The new agreement benefits UAE students, educators, businesses, and other institutions by expanding their access to world-recognized tests of English for both academic and professional purposes.

AMIDEAST to Help Cairo U. Expand Programs for U.S. Engineering Students

Washington, DC, November 4, 2010 —The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs has awarded AMIDEAST a $225,000 grant that will enable it to support Egypt’s largest and most prestigious public university, Cairo University, as it seeks to strengthen its capacity to host U.S. study abroad students.
