New Semester Program in Egypt: Civil Engineering at Cairo University

In an effort to give U.S. undergraduate engineering students the opportunity to study in one of the most dynamic regions of the world, AMIDEAST is proud to offer a Civil Engineering Semester at Cairo University (CU). Although many engineers follow career paths that take them to a variety of countries, there are limited opportunities for undergraduates in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) disciplines to study abroad. This unique study opportunity in the heart of the Arab world will help to prepare future American engineers to work effectively with people from that region.

Special Scholarship Opportunity

At AMIDEAST Education Abroad Programs in the Arab World, we are committed to have providing financial assistance to students participating on our programs in the Middle East and North Africa. AMIDEAST currently awards two types of scholarships: 1) AMIDEAST Education Abroad Scholarships 2) Cairo University Engineering Travel Grants.

Cairo University Engineering Travel Grants are funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of State for students participating on the Summer History of Engineering or the Cairo University Civil Engineering semester. Please note that under the terms of the grant from the Department of State, only students who are eligible for Pell Grants and Stafford Loans can be considered for these Travel Grants.
