AMIDEAST has worked with colleges, universities, secondary schools and non-profit organizations to facilitate their educational programs in the Arab world for nearly three decades. AMIDEAST’s knowledgeable Field Office staff works with clients to help with program design (including making suggestions for possible lecture topics and lecturers, organizations to visit, and connections with local governmental, non-governmental and private sector organizations). Field Office staff also can make logistical arrangements for programs, including local transportation, housing and meals, and excursions/field trips.
Colleges, universities, secondary schools and non-profit organizations interested in working with AMIDEAST Field Offices in the Arab World should make initial contact with AMIDEAST Headquarters in Washington and complete a Short Term Program Request Form (request from edabroad@amideast.org). After an initial discussion with Headquarters staff the Field Office, staff members become involved in putting together a specific program proposal and a budget is developed. Budget discussions take place between Headquarters staff and the organization sponsoring the program.
