Please take some time to read about some of our featured alumni below. We are increasingly proud of the many accomplishments of our students upon their return from their study abroad experience. In order to highlight some of these remarkable individuals, we have put together a few snapshots of students who completed an AMIDEAST Education Abroad Program in the Arab world in recent years.
Welcome home! As you setting back into life in the United States, please let us congratulate you for completing an AMIDEAST Education Abroad program. Thank you for being a part of AMIDEAST’s larger mission to help develop mutual understanding between Americans and the people of the Middle East and North Africa. Quite simply, there is no single better way to learn about the world and other peoples than by stepping out into it in order to learn from your own experiences and personal interactions.
If you have not already, please visit the AMIDEAST Education Abroad Alumni Association website. This site is specifically for AMIDEAST's former students, and we hope it will be a means to re-connect to abroad classmates, search for future opportunities in the Middle East, or keep your Arabic up to par with useful, yet fun interactive material posted in the Resource Room.
Whether you're Middle-East-sick for your host mother's maqlouba or simply want to do a quick job search, the Alumni Association will provide great information and networking opportunities to all of our former students. Run by student interns, former participants, and Middle East enthusiasts, we'd love to hear from you! If you are interested in serving as a featured alumnus, please email edabroad@amideast.org for more information.
Are you an AMIDEAST Education Abroad alum and applying for graduate school or a fellowship program? AMIDEAST would be happy to send your program grade report to any institution you require. Please fill out this transcript request form, and we will send your grade report within 5-10 business days.
Did you maintain a Flickr account while studying abroad with AMIDEAST? Share your photos with us! We are very excited to announce our newest platform for sharing experiences, AMIDEAST ABROAD, our own Flickr group! Contribute to the group pool, start a discussion on favorite spots from your country, or simply browse through other alumni's photos. Connect with fellow AMIDEAST students, alumni, faculty, staff and prospective students while showing off your photography skills.
We invite our alumni to review their AMIDEAST program on Abroad 101. This website serves as a useful resource for prospective students, acting as an education abroad program search engine based on student experiences. Former students can log on through their Facebook account to leave a short review. We appreciate your feedback!
